We are a small but enthusiastic team at Ethos and have been helping our clients on their journey back to independent living since 1995.
Everyone involved shares a passion for the work that we do and now we are looking for a very special person to join the team.
We have a vacancy for an independent living advisor to work with our ten clients for 20 hours a week helping them in a whole range of ways to achieve their aspirations for independent living.
This is a key post within our small team so our new recruit must have a genuine interest in people backed up by good organisation and communication.
Our new independent living advisor will be involved in providing housing related support and benefit advice to people with spinal cord injuries and other physical disabilities.
It means the level of support and advice has to be tailored to each individual so we are looking for someone who is versatile and empathetic.
We are a unique organisation which gives us the flexibility for our team members to develop professionally and make their mark as well as developing strong relationships with our key partners.
We are looking for someone who is exceptionally well organised and used to dealing with a diverse workload which may require extra hours as and when requested. We can promise that for the right person this will be an extremely rewarding and fulfilling role.
We are also looking for volunteers to help our clients reconnect with the outside world as we start to adapt to the “new normal” after the coronavirus outbreak.
Our three bungalows have been in complete lockdown since March and thankfully we have avoided any cases of Covid-19. But the lack of social interaction has been difficult for our clients.
We would like to hear from anyone who can spare a little of their time to enhance the life of someone else. It could be as simple as having a coffee and a chat, helping with the gardening or simply watching a film with a client while keeping within the current coronavirus restrictions on social distancing and hand hygiene.
If you think you fit the bill and would like to join our small team of friendly and hard working staff as our new independent living advisor or as a volunteer, then visit our website at www.ethosgroup.co.uk or contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or on 01691 404359.
